How does the EU organise?
There are four essential institutions:
- European Comission. Its headquarter is in Brussels (Belgium). It's the organizational and executive authority of EU.
-European Parlament. Her headquarters are in Brussels and Strassburg (France). It began being a consultative assembly. Despite this, its actual role is to vote almost every law which has been suggested by the Comission.
-European Council. It organizes the meetings of the 28 countries governments. Their representatives meet in Brussels to provide politic orientation to the EU.
-EU Justice Court. It is in Luxemburg, and it has the role of ensure that all States obey the European laws. Furthermore, it intercedes between the European Comission, European Parlament and European Council when they don't agree.

30 años de España en la Unión Europea
El 12 º
de junio del 1985 España y Portugal firmaron el Tratado de Adhesión a las Comunidades Europeas con un doble acto en Lisboa y Madrid. De parte de España, el signo participó en el Palacio Real, con un discurso de Juan Carlos I Rey.
Esta firma terminó un proceso que había comenzado con la petición del Gobierno español al "Consejo Europeo de Ministros Comunidades", el 26 º de julio del 1977, bajo la presidencia de Adolfo Suárez. Las negociaciones de adhesión comenzaron oficialmente en 5 ª febrero del 1979.
Por último, en 1985, la firma se ha pasado y últimamente el Congreso confirmó por unanimidad la adhesión y el 1 er enero del 1986, España se convirtió para formar parte de la Unión Europea.
